PostDoc
At a time when electrification is accelerating, the NCCR Automation brings us together to develop control and automation solutions for more reliable, and sustainable energy and transportation systems.

Nada El Bouharrouti is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and a visiting researcher at ETH Zürich. She received her B.Sc. in Electromechanics from the Université libre de Bruxelles in Belgium in 2019. In 2021, she obtained a dual M.Sc. degree in Energy Electromechanics, with a specialization in Power Systems, from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Université libre de Bruxelles.
Following her studies in Belgium, she began her Ph.D. at Aalto University in Finland. During her doctoral studies, she developed model-based and data-driven strategies for the condition monitoring of induction machines, aiming to improve the timely application of diagnostic techniques and enhance the overall resilience of electro-conversion systems.
She currently works under the supervision of Prof. Silvia Mastellone on the development of multi-objective control strategies for electric vehicles, with a focus on reliability, and component lifetime.
