As a person who has developed a passion for data-driven approaches, agent learning, and decision-making, I see a strong connection between the concepts and algorithms I come across daily to nature and human life. I feel that being in this field helps me better understand myself and the society ("the agents") around me, which is fascinating. My application domain is the energy-mobility nexus, where many trade-offs exist, such as human needs and environmental impacts. Therefore, I hope the work I do today will somehow positively influence the world that we will see tomorrow.

Charitha Buddhika Heendeniya a research scientist at the intelligent energy systems group at SUPSI. He has obtained his masters degree from the University of Freiburg (Germany), specializing in renewable energy engineering and management. His research interests are data-driven approaches for optimal planning and operation of energy systems, optimization under uncertainty, and multi-agent interactions.
