Equal opportunities
NCCR Automation is committed to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. We actively promote these principles through dedicated actions for reconciling family and career, targeted promotion of women, and scholarships for those from developing and emerging countries.
We give young researchers the chance to carry out scientific work at the highest level. Some 40 doctoral students and postdocs from a range of disciplines collaborate on the NCCR. They are assisted by our Principal Investigators and encouraged to achieve their full potential by participating in conferences and networking events and attending courses to launch them in their subsequent career steps. We also offer a fellowship programme for fine-tuning research results and preparing them for market entry.
The NCCR Automation runs lectures, guest lectures and tutorials in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, and offers Bachelor’s or Master’s theses at the participating institutes.
The NCCR designs continuing education programmes for engineers in industry, and endeavours to promote knowledge transfer through our participation in meetings, conferences and industry events.
The NCCR Automation seeks to heighten young people’s awareness of automation and to motivate them to take up training in this field. Activities in this domain include visits to secondary education institutions, summer schools and open days at our institutes.
