Daniele Ravasio

Looking forward to exploring innovative approaches to address real-world challenges and the increasing complexity of large-scale systems, leveraging interdisciplinary collaborations in control, optimisation and machine learning.
Daniele Ravasio is a PhD student in Systems and Control at the Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering (DEIB) of Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Prof. Marcello Farina. He also holds a research fellowship at the STIIMA department of the National Research Council of Italy. Since February, he has been conducting a research period at EPFL in Lausanne, working in the DECODE group led by Prof. Giancarlo Ferrari Trecate. Daniele received his BSc in Automation Engineering in 2018 and his MSc cum laude in Automation Engineering in 2020, both from Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on integrating recurrent neural network models with traditional model-based control techniques to design novel centralised and distributed control schemes for uncertain large-scale systems.
