Viewing myself as a practicality-oriented robotics engineer, I am more than eager to combine my past with theoratical fondness and rigorousness that are naturally residing in control theory and mathematical optimization.

Shaohui Yang is currently pursuing his doctorate at the Automatic Control Lab of EPFL, under the supervision of Prof. Colin Jones. Prior to that, he obtained his B.Eng in Computer Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in Hong Kong, China and M.Sc. In Systems, Control and Robotics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Sweden. His research interests include model predicitve control, numerical optimization and their application to robotics.
