Simone Baratto

Passionate about advancing robust, sustainable control systems, I value NCCR Automation's interdisciplinary collaboration for real-world innovation.

I joined the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Automation through a PhD program at EPF Lausanne on distributed control for semi-autonomous vehicles. My research interests lie in robust and distributed control, with particular attention to their practical implementation. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua, Italy, and my Master’s Degree in Control Systems Engineering from the same University. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Motor Control Engineer at SiT S.p.A. in Padua, Italy. During my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities and sports, in particular hiking and basketball.
