Newly established Control Systems Society Chapter in Switzerland

IEEE, pronounced "Eye-triple-E" and standing for the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity. It is designed to serve professionals involved in all aspects of the electrical, electronic, and computing fields and related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilisation. IEEE has a local section in Switzerland.
The Control Systems Society (CSS) is one of the 39 technical societies of IEEE. The CCS is dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practise of systems and control in engineering.
A section of the CSS was not represented within Switzerland despite the growing number of researchers, professors and students involved in control and automation, as shown by the interest in NCCR Automation. Giancarlo Ferrari Trecate has addressed this issue by founding the Control Systems Society Chapter of the IEEE Swiss Section and was appointed its chair. Congratulations!
