The beauty of control is that it's so universal and plays a key role in so many industries. I'm excited to join the team at Empa and NCCR Automation in exploring the potential of control and automation for a sustainable future of energy systems.

Benita is a postdoctoral reseracher at the Urban Energy Systems Lab at Empa. Previously, she was a research associate at the Department of Aeronautics, Imperial College London, London, UK, where she also received the PhD degree in Control Theory in 2024 and the MEng degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 2019. She is a 2022 Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellow. Her research interests include data-driven control, dynamic game theory, optimal control, and control of energy systems across scales.
