Jan is a PhD student at the Power Systems Laboratory at ETH Zürich, supervised by Prof. Gabriela Hug. He received his BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich in 2023 and 2024, respectively. His current research focuses on the optimal coordination of a portfolio of diverse renewable generation and storage resources. Key areas of his research include forecasting and uncertainty quantification, power system modelling, distributionally robust optimization, and receding horizon control.
