Dimitrios is a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL in Lausanne within the Laboratory of Urban Transport Systems (LUTS). He received his PhD from EPFL in modeling, optimization and control of urban traffic netwroks in 2022. He holds a Diploma (BSc + MEng) in civil and structural engineering (2014) and a MSc degree in Intelligent Transportation and Project Management Systems (2016), both from University of Patras, Greece. His research interests focus on multi-modal traffic network modeling, simulation, optimization and control applied to public transport operations and infrastructure design, traffic congestion management and adaptive traffic signalization.
