Industry/Academia Workshop on Control and Computational Methods

Industry meets academia: We bring engineers from companies with an interest in automation and NCCR Automation researchers together for a technical exchange in a relaxed and open atmosphere.

Share and learn: Each company presents a concrete challenge in the fields of automation, optimisation or data; the NCCR Automation shares the latest developments in control theory and computational methods.

Co-creation and innovation: In mini-workshops, engineers and researchers work together in different groups to identify innovation and collaboration potential.

Invitation-only: This workshop is organized by the NCCR Automation. It is a high-quality, invitation-only event.

Openness and confidentiality: We achieve an open atmosphere by keeping the event small. It is limited to 2-3 engineers and decision makers each from a hand-picked 5-6 companies who are not competitors, and an equal number of members of the NCCR Automation from relevant research fields. In addition, all parties will sign an NDA beforehand.

Time and location: The event will be held in Zurich. It lasts one day with a joint dinner the night before.

Organization and expenses: The NCCR Automation takes care of the organization of the event and the venue. Participants are asked to cover their own expenses for travel, food, and – if necessary – accommodation.
