NCCR Automation visit to Flexbase

Flexbase in Laufenburg is about to host the world’s largest redox-flow battery—an unprecedented real-world playground for control, automation, and large-scale energy systems research. The site will also integrate a next-generation AI data centre, creating a rare coupled system where power electronics, grid services, flexibility markets, and compute-energy co-optimization meet in practice. We'll visit them on Monday, 12 January 2026 in Laufenburg; researchers from NCCR Automation are invited to pitch related work and register.
