Elise Cahard is the Managing Director of the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Automation. She previously worked at the French National Research Agency (ANR), equivalent to the SNSF, as Scientific Project Officer. Elise holds a Chemical Engineering degree from ESCPE (France), a MPhil from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK), and previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi-Aventis in R&D positions.
