Mahdi Nobar
I am excited about the opportunity to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and control systems to optimize robot-assisted manufacturing processes
Mahdi Nobar is a doctoral student in the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zürich and Institute of Automation at FHNW under the supervision of Prof. Dr. John Lygeros, Dr. Alisa Rupenyan, and Prof. Dr. Jürg Keller. Previously, he was a research intern at Robot Learning and Interaction Group of Idiap research institute. Mahdi obtained his Master's degree focused on robotics and intelligent systems from EPFL. He worked as a junior product developer at Bühler Group's milling solutions R&D department based in Uzwil, Switzerland. Mahdi studied dual bachelors' degrees simultaneously including Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a focus on dynamics and control.
He is passionate about building intelligent autonomous systems. His research interests span from control theories, optimization, signal processing to artificial intelligence—machine and deep learning for robotic applications.
