Antonio Gallina

NCCR Automation’s interdisciplinary approach fosters research, turning innovative concepts into practical solutions
Antonio Gallina is a Ph.D. student engaged in a research exchange through the NCCR Automation Fellowship at ETH Zürich, supervised by Prof. Melanie Zeilinger.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering and his Master's Degree in Control Systems Engineering, both with honors from the University of Padua, his home institution. As part of the DEI-Unipd Team, Antonio earned first prize at the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge 2022. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked as a postgraduate researcher at the University of Padua, focusing on optimal shared control driving assistance in a compact driving simulator.
His current research lies at the intersection of machine learning and model predictive control, aiming to bridge the gap between simulation and reality with applications in the automotive field.
