PhD Student
There is no theory without application and no application without theory. Through NCCR Automation we do both: isn't that exciting?
Nicolas is a PhD Student at the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Florian Dörfler. He received his BSc. and MSc. in Mechanical Engineering with focus in Robotics, Systems, and Control from ETH Zürich in 2016 and 2019, respectively. During his Master's studies, Nicolas visited the Massachussets Institute of Technology and wrote his Master's thesis at Stanford University, in Prof. Marco Pavone's Autonomous Systems Lab. His current research interests include optimal transport and gradient flows in the Wasserstein space, with applications in robust optimization and game theory.
