Giuseppe Belgioioso
My research blends optimization, game theory, and control to improve sustainability, reliability, and fairness of modern energy systems.
Giuseppe Belgioioso is a postdoctoral researcher at the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zürich since September 2020. He obtained the PhD degree in Automatic Control at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), The Netherlands. He received the bachelor's degree in Information Engineering in September 2012 and the master's degree (summa cum laude) in Automatic Control Engineering in April 2015, both at the University of Padova, Italy. In 2015, he was also a Research Scientist (Assegnista) at the Automatic Control Group (Automatica), University of Padova, Italy. In 2019, he visited the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE) at Arizona State University (ASU), USA. His research interests include optimization, game theory, and algorithm-based control with applications to energy and transportation systems.
After finishing at NCCR Automation Giuseppe took up a position as Assistant Professor in the Division of Decision and Control Systems (DCS) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden
